SPIRITUALIZED – SWEET HEART, SWEET LIGHT
For those of you who were a little late to the party sublime UK act Spiritualized (stars of the 2009 Australian ATP) have released a fab new album Sweet Heart, Sweet Light. A small taste but a pretty good example of which can be heard via their controversial video for the first single ‘Hey Jane‘.
And catch an in-studio version here.
‘Bout time for a tour too – later this year perhaps?
TALES FROM THE AUSTRALIAN UNDERGROUND.
A nice piece in the latest on-line edition of US mag SPIN about our 2003 CD release 2CD Tales From the Australian Underground (1976- 1989). Encouraging to know that 10 years after our release (and 35 years after some of the material was originally released) that the ‘Oz Sound’ still resonates not just here but overseas as well.

J MASCIS DONS A HEAVY BLANKET
The ever so prolific J Mascis moves away from his role as a solo artist, as drummer in Witch and as main dude in Dinosaur jr roles to reunite with post-Deep Wound / pre-Dinosaur buddies Heavy Blanket on an ep of early eighties post-hardcore inspired noise jams – phew… Check out Dr.Marten’s Blues here.
And what’s that we hear? Dinosaur Jr have completed a new album and will visit Australia in 2013? Huh. Sweet.
