MODELS TOUR CANCELLED.

Sean Kelly writes: James’ untimely passing has left us devastated and in shock; the messages of love and support are greatly appreciated. As a mark of respect for James and his family, we’ve decided to postpone our recently advertised shows of February 2011 with Dave Mason of The Reels. We regret any inconvenience caused and thank those who were to be involved for their efforts and support.  James’  soul is at peace now, our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

CARIBOU/FOUR TET – DOUBLE THE FUN!

It’s true! One of the most anticipated tours of the new year is no longer a mere message board fantasy. Dance music most creative properties, Canada via Camden’s Caribou and Camden local Four Tet, are confirmed for a double-bill of these parts taking them to Auckland and the Splore Music Festival, to Sydney and the Playground Music Festival, to the Perth International Arts Festival and various points in between.

MODELS – LOCAL &/OR GENERAL

With a long overdue ‘Hall of Fame’ trophy planted firmly on the shelf iconic Melbourne outfit Models can now get on with the task at hand: playing live. Rather than just trot out the standard greatest hits show though, Models have decided to perform their second and most compelling album Local &/Or General in its entirety, this February, for audiences in Perth, Sydney, Melbourne and Castlemaine.

But wait, that’s not all, Dave Mason, the former frontman for eighties pop eccentrics The Reels will also join the bill. Never one to stick to convention Dave will re-imagine The Reels‘ 1981 magnum-opus Quasimodo’s Dream in duo mode playing alongside a pianist. It’s Dave Mason from The Reels. What else would you expect?
